Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)
Purchase solar electricity without initial capital investments.

In a solar rooftop system, the solar panels are installed on the roof of any Commercial and Industrial building providing solar energy to it at a more competitive tariff than the energy purchased from the grid.
A 100 kWp rooftop system generally requires 1.200 m2 of flat, shadow-free area (preferably south-facing). Actual sizing, however, depends also on local factors of solar radiation and weather conditions and shape of the roof.
Solar panels work just fine in ambient light and will produce significant energy in the fog or on overcast days. In bad weather, the production may not be 100% but they will produce power. On cloudy days, they may produce 60% of the required output.
Normal term of a Belanus PPA is 15 to 20 years. The longer the term of the PPA the lower energy tariff BELANUS is able to offer to the Client.
After the term of the PPA you have the option to purchase the installation at a price defined by a third party or we extend the term of the PPA.
Solar panels manufacturer’s warranty is 25 years. So, broadly life of solar rooftop is 25 years. However, it does function after 25 years with 80% output up to 35 years.
During the term of the PPA, BELANUS will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the PV system at no cost for you, guaranteeing the availability and performance of the equipment. After the expiration of the PPA you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the system either managed directly by you or by subcontracting it to a third party.
